Can this day be any worse!?

Matthew 5: 3-12
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Be attitudes for Christian life. Blessed is another word for happy. Try substituting the word every time you see the word blessed. Go ahead and read again. There are going to be many times in our lives, not just these last few and next few weeks, that our lives are going to seem impossible. Times when we are so mad that we just want to scream. As we look at what life deals us, remember that our reward in heaven is greater than all the troubles we face. Every one of these traits in the verses above all come with a promise. This promise is from above, and His are the ones that we know will be kept. So the next time you feel frustrated and overwhelmed, try to remember these ways to be "happy." Because our time here is short, and rewards and eternity in heaven with "Him that is Greater than he that is in the world" is something to look forward too.

God Bless You this week.
